I am in Costa Rica this week with my son, Aaron, and the Jagendorf family from New Jersey. Bob Jagendorf is a dear friend and client, who is a co-founder of Mercom Systems.
The Marriott has broadband in the room, and wireless in the lobby. My Blackberry works, but only in cell phone mode. I can’t get wireless email which surprised me. I get it in Israel and should be able to get it in most of Western Europe.
Regardless, I can enjoy a nice vacation, keep up with goings on at The Ranch, and keep working on some new pitches that we are following up over the holidays. Just because it’s Christmas, that does not mean the journalist community is asleep. To the contrary- this is a good time of year to pitch year-end and 2005 trends stories, as well as pursuing January editorial calendars that still might be available for coverage.
