Transition to the PowerBook Continues

My transition to the PowerBook G4 continues….

I am now using QuickBooks online’s accounting service, MediaMap online for managing our media and analysts outreach, Salesforce.com for business development, and TypePad for Blogging. These ASP – based apps mean several things:

1. I am no longer OS specific dependent. I don’t have to worry about using a Mac or Windows PC
2. My CPA in Dallas can get to the accounting files in real time by logging on to the QuickBooks site. No more FedExing JazzDisks to him.
3. Cindy, our Admin and Office Manager, and I share the use of Salesforce.com to update and manage our prospects list and for sending out our monthly newsletter.

  1. Welcome to the apple universe!
My favorite Apple site is http://43folders.com. It’s mainly about David Allen’s Getting Things Done methodology and how to apply that using OSX and Macs, but it’s a treasure-trove of Mac-based organization tips.
Probably the best single book for a new user to OSX is David Pogue’s “Mac OS X Missing Manual” book.
Have fun with your new toy!
