Big media and new product launch events generally happen in New York or L.A.
Well, folks, you will be proud to know that San Antonio was selected by world reknown blogger and cartoonist, Hugh Mcleod to be the kick-off event for the 100 Dinners in 100 Nights where bloggers get to sample and taste a new wine company comming into the U.S. market, Stormhoek.

arranged the event and I was the proud recipient of the cartoon that

The great wine and lunch at Central Market
not withstanding, the idea of having a group of willing consumers to
talk about, and blog about a new brand is pretty compelling.
We were the first of what will be 100 events like this around the
U.S. which basically costs the company nothing, other than the cost the
wine (and the shipping) totally turns traditional consumer marketing on
