For our client, SecureLogix, we have managed to secure appointments with journalists and analysts including Network Magazine, Internet Telephony, Business Communications Review, VoIP Magazine, The Tolly Group, and Yankee Group for the upcoming VoiceCon 2005 show which starts on Monday.
We will be making a major product announcement that we have working on in advance for the last 90 days. Many journalists will work with you under embargo if you get them the information you need such as a backgrounder, the actual press release, analyst quotes, etc. so that the news you announce becomes news they can publish on a more timely basis.
Make it a priority to have your press information prepared in advance. Doing so helps you and helps the journalists and analysts you work with do a better and more effective job.
