I’ve recently installed the new Google Desktop for Windows 2000 and XP. After installed, it quickly built a database of the non-system files on my PC’s hard hard drive, then indexed the contents of my typically used files — such as web pages, email from Outlook, my IMs and applications like Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
This is very powerful and easy to use utility. Google has out-Microsoft’d Microsoft on this one. It works. Its’s fast. It’s free. Highly recommended.
