I’ll be speaking at UTSA / San Antonio – Friday – January 29 – 10:30 AM

I will be speaking this Friday at The University of Texas at San Antonio on the subject of personal, corporate and technology branding.

I go on about 10:30 AM.

No, you are not going to see any logos, design ideas, or color palettes from me.  What you will see and hear is a presentation and discussion on personal, corporate and technology branding – and how to get your voice heard on the social web.

I’m going to advise killing the idea of an elevator pitch and start streaming your story instead.  I think elevator pitches are from a myopic view of the world, one that assumes you have one shot to sell your idea.

The world today is different.  Instead of pitching your company, start thinking yourself as being a story teller.

This is a day long event with a varie

ty of very cool speakers.

 – Time: 8:30am – 4:30pm
–  Location: UTSA, Business Building, University Room 2.06.04, San Antonio, TX
–  Information and registration at:
http://business.utsa.edu/cite/cite_te_bootcamp.aspx  (the presentation that is linked on this site is one I gave from last year)

The day will kickoff with a keynote address by Brian Hughes, who’s a wonderful speaker and has a wonderful brain.  He is Chairman and Product Engineer for HBN Shoe and founder of SegSaddle, LLC.  In 1984 he co-founded PTAT System Inc., which built the first privately funded transatlantic fiber cable linking New York and London which was sold to Sprint in 1989. A successful entrepreneur and investor, Hughes received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from MIT and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

I will post my presentation Friday morning.

Still working on it.

Stay tuned.
