One of the challenges of meeting with the media at major tradeshows and events is that there are too many of us chasing too few many media. This is especially true at large scale events such as the upcoming CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in January.
We are currently working on a project for HomePNA where we will be coordinating a shared media event known as ShowStoppers. The idea for ShowStoppers is very cool: 50 exhibitors join forces, and rent out a really nice facility in one of the nicest hotels in Las Vegas (this year, it’s at the new Wynn ). Take a nice facility, great food, and pitch in $5,000 a piece and you have the makings of a great party. We are expecting 400 – 500 top level journalists, analysts and bloggers who will have a chance to spend a few hours with us as we exhibit and talk about our products, technologies, and services.
ShowStoppers provides a very good concept and a great way to get in front of top level journalists at a major event like CES.
