This post is a follow-on from Monday’s entry in regards to how to pitch for making appointments at tradeshows with journalists and analysts. Here is an actual example of how we did this for our client, CopperGate Communications and thier being at the upcoming CES Show in Las Vegas.
I am contacting you to propose a brief and informative meeting with our client, CopperGate Communications, during the upcoming CES (Consumer Electronics Show), January 5 – 8 in Las Vegas.
CopperGate develops advanced chipsets that enable the creation of a powerful home network backbone for distributing multiple video, audio, voice and data services among multiple devices over existing phone or coax cables. Our client’s CopperStream technology, which is being integrated by leading equipment OEMs today into broadband gateways and IP set-top boxes, provides high-performance, low-cost home networking that serves the key needs of broadband service providers. CopperGate is gaining a lot of momentum with telephone companies deploying IPTV as part of their triple play service offering to subscribers in homes and MDU environments especially .
We will have a significant announcement in regards to a strategic investor and we will be able to provide you with a unique perspective and insight into the home networking space, and will be located at the Las Vegas Convention Center / South Hall booth 4/36274 (a CES Meeting Place room set up on the conference main floor) from 10 AM – 4:30 PM.
If you will propose a time and day, I will confirm and if you would like, we can also email you the announcement on the day it is released.
Happy 2006 and thank you for considering our request.
