Please Join Us: Small Town State of NOW – November 8 – Hutchinson, KS. #smalltown2012

Our annual  Small Town State of NOW (formerly known as 140 Characters Conference) is just a few weeks away, November 8, 2012.   The lineup of speakers is beyond outstanding this year: Both big ag and small ag have their own panels and a chance to share their story. How do we incubate our youth in small towns to become tomorrow’s great minds? Nick Barron and Ron Bronson will both talk about parts of this. Multiculturalism and diversity are hot topics in some small towns, and Doug Mitchell and Jon Powell will talk about different parts of that. “I’m farming and I grow it” made a big hit on YouTube, and Greg Peterson is joining us. Bringing the world into your small town with tourism projects online will be the subject for Deb Brown and Leslie McLellan And I’ve got a little rant on whether small towns have a future, if we have time! Some big names from social media and the tech world are joining us, including a few new faces: Aliza Sherman,  author of 10 tech books and advocate for women in technology Simon Salt, author of Social Location Marketing and founder of IncSlingers Jason Kintzler, founder of Pitch Engine, a global tech company based in Wyoming Those are just a few highlights – and you can register here. Special thanks to our sponsor, Verizon Wireless / Kansas...
