“Byte” to Relaunch This Summer. Interview with Technologist, Ron White and How To Pitch Your Story
I discovered Byte Magazine in 1976 right after I graduated from Antioch College and went to work for a company owned by Jack Tramiel, who also founded Commodore and subsequently acquired Atari.
I was fortunate to be at the very beginning of this new industry and acted as a PR person in many new emerging technology companies.
As many things and times change, so did the publishing industry. Byte went away, came back, and went away again.
Now, it’s coming back under the moniker of Byte.com. Gina Smith will be the new publication’s Editor and Ron White, happens to live in San Antonio, as I do, is will take the helm as Executive Editor.
Here’s my interview with Ron where he gives some of the history, the new editorial mission and how to pitch the publication.
