Allowing Time To Get on Industry Analyst Radars and Calendars

There are times in the blog when I can point to a specific client by name, and other times when it’s just not the right thing to do. In this case, I can’t mention the client, but the principles of being successful in high tech PR apply.

We are currently conducting an outreach program for one of our clients that involves a series of analyst briefings. We started this process October 1 and we just landed a briefing with Meta Group in late March 2011. This process can take six to eight weeks to get on a good analyst’s calendar and get their ear for a meaningful discussion.

Be patient and set the expectation that a good analyst relations program can take at least three months to get the process working and six months for it to start bearing fruit.
